🎯 Role Overview
As an Environment Artist at Vertex Forge, you will be responsible for creating realistic or stylized environments that align with the project's artistic direction. Your expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting will be crucial in building assets that are both visually compelling and optimized for real-time performance.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
-Asset Creation: Model, texture, and light 3D environments, props, and assets using industry-standard software (e.g., Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter).
-Collaboration: Work closely with Art Directors, Designers, and other team members to ensure assets align with the project's vision and technical requirements.
-Optimization: Ensure all assets are optimized for performance without compromising visual quality, adhering to best practices for real-time applications.
-Set Dressing: Populate environments with assets to create believable and immersive scenes, considering gameplay and narrative elements.
-Quality Assurance: Maintain consistency and quality across all assets, providing feedback and revisions as necessary.
🎓 Required Skills & Experience
-Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing software (e.g., Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter).
-Strong foundational art skills. Understanding of composition, form, color, and light concerning crafting environments
-Strong narrative and environmental storytelling skills concerning set dressing and world-building
-Strong understanding of modular workflows as it relates to architectural assembly and asset creation
-Ability to interpret concept art and reference materials to create detailed 3D assets.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
-A portfolio showcasing a range of environmental art, including assets and scenes.

-Experience with procedural generation tools (e.g., Houdini, World Machine).
-Familiarity with photogrammetry and integrating scanned assets into environments.

-Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain tools and scripts to automate and streamline art production processes.

We’re looking for a Hard Surface / Prop Artist to create realistic props and hard surface assets for our projects. You’ll work closely with environment artists, technical artists, and art directors to ensure that all assets are high-quality, optimized, and integrated seamlessly into real-time game engines like Unreal Engine.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
-Model and texture hard surface assets including vehicles, machinery, weapons, and props.
-Develop optimized, game-ready assets with proper UVs and PBR materials.
-Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent visual style across all assets.

-Create high-quality particle effects, simulations, and shaders for real-time and cinematic applications.
